At ON CLARENCE we know it’s hard to find a space to put on your thing - if you have a proposal for an exhibition, boutique event, workshop or something else, we would love to have you!

The On Clarence Artist In Residence Program

Keeping our spaces vibrant, fresh and filled with busy and engaged creatives is always the goal at On Clarence. From time to time when there is a gap between tenants, or a regular studio tenant has a break booked - we love to offer short term opportunities for ‘Artists in Residence’ to fill their spaces. Each residency looks and feels unique, and we try to match a resident artist to each slot to suit. We currently have a short list of artists waiting for an availability. To express an interest in being an AIR please send an application to lucyhersey@live.com clearly outlining your availability, your practice, experience, and how you see an opportunity like this benefiting you. The On Clarence AIR program works on a ‘pay what you can’ model, so please also indicate what you might be able to contribute towards operations. If not in a financial way - perhaps you can volunteer your time, or come up with another contribution to the community arts scene OC is building.

SUMMER COURTYARD POP UPS

When the weather is good - creatives are welcome to self run small stalls from the OC courtyard across the weekends. The fee to run a stall is $5. If you make cool stuff and you’d like to come and sell it in the garden with us - please fill in the form below and let us know. Please note we only accept stalls selling boutique, handmade work - no second hand goods, plants, animals or food. Power is not available for stalls.

WORKSHOPS AND SMALL GROUPS

Studio 1 is available for hire for small group sessions. Space is limited, and group size the studio can accommodate is probably 6 max for a workshop, or 8 comfortably for a meeting. Hire fee for the full day is $40, and includes full access to attached private kitchenette and bathroom, and a clean and tidy space, large table and chairs. Artwork may still be present on the walls/shelves. If the room is just required for a couple of hours/less than the day please contact directly using the form below to discuss.
